Conservatively. Powerful colors are gray or navy blue
suits with white blouse or shirts. Colorful ties or
scarfs
work nicely.
Different industries may
allow for casual or trendy attire however it’s best to dress
for the interview…not the job. |

| Never ask about salary, benefits or advancement on the first interview. |
| Do not speak negatively of past employers |
| Do not discuss past personality conflicts. |
| Do not ramble. |
| Do not interrogate the interviewer. |

Always: |

| Research the company |
| Maintain enthusiasm throughout the interview.

| Maintain proper demeanor (lean forward, direct eye contact,
firm handshake)

| Sell your background with facts.
|
| Prepare a 2-3 minute verbal “personal history” which
includes the high points of your academic, business, sports,
personal, or social background. |
| Give reasons why you want the job. |
